​Susan Weidman Schneider is Editor-in-Chief of Lilith magazine, and one of its founding mothers. She is the author of three acclaimed books, among them the groundbreaking Jewish and Female. Her writing in Lilith includes innovative reports on Jewish women’s philanthropy, the Jewish stake in reproductive rights, the persistent negative stereotypes of Jewish women, the cost of women's silence, and much more. Among her awards: a Polakoff Lifetime Achievement Award in journalism, Women’s E-news “Leader for the 21st Century,” Brandeis University Alumni/ae Achievement Award and NCJW “Woman Who Dared.”
