Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein zt"l was a leading advocate for close to half a century for intensive Talmud Torah for girls and women in the Modern-Orthodox community. This session will explore the origins of his perspective, the parameters of what it entailed, the impact it had and the directions it did and did not go.

Rabbi Nathaniel Helfgot

Rabbi Nathaniel Helfgot is chair of the Dept. of TSBP at SAR High School and rabbi of Cong. Netivot Shalom in Teaneck, NJ. He also serves on the faculty of YCT Rabbinical School, the Drisha Institute of Jewish Education and the Wexner Heritage Foundation. He lectures and publishes widely and is most recently the author of Mikra and Meaning: Studies in Bible and Its Interpretation (2014)
